Ryan Garrett {Director of Student Ministries}

I have many passions in life, but if you had to name the top three, these would probably summarize them perfectly. Number one, my main focus and passion is Jesus.  I want to love God with all my heart, soul, mind, and strength. Second, my passion is my family. I am the husband of the beautiful Megan Garrett, and the father of three amazing children; Lillie, Lucie, and Eli. Lastly, I long to make Jesus’ name famous by ongoing disciple-making. I live by the phrase, “Love God/Reach People/Make Disciples.”

Mark Johnston {Fifth & Sixth Grade Coordinator}

In 1989, while working in the Sports Medicine field, the Lord called me to student ministry.  I started out as a volunteer for two years and that eventually led to me becoming a full time Youth Minister in the Presbyterian Church in America where I served from 1992-2002.  In 2003 I arrived at Church of the Apostles with my family and immediately volunteered in the STS ministry where I served for five years.  I was asked to come on staff in 2008 to serve the families in STS.  My desire is to minister to our families and see them grow in their relationship with Jesus and be equipped for their ministry wherever God has called them to serve.  I have been blessed with an incredible wife Monica and three children Caroline, Elijah and Gideon.

Caroline Germany {High School Assistant Coordinator}

I grew up in Brookhaven and attended Church of the Apostles with my family growing up.  I am the youngest of four and despite living hundreds of miles from many of them (Maine and Montana), I am still very close to them.  In 2011, I graduated from Samford University and for the past four years have been an elementary teacher in Atlanta.  I knew I was ready for something new and wanted to be in ministry, so after praying and seeking the Lord he provided this amazing opportunity for me to work at Church of The Apostles. I am so excited to be in youth ministry and to have the opportunity to help and watch each of these students grow in their walk with the Lord.

Anna Witt {Assistant Coordinator for Fifth – Eighth Grades}

I’ve had the privilege of working with Elementary and Middle School students for the past 8 years. Some of my favorite experiences include being a part of the worship team in Kid’s Connection and STS here at The Church of The Apostles as well as assisting with FCA in Cobb County.  After graduating from KSU in 2009, the Lord graciously opened a door for me to join our Youth Ministry Team.

My husband and I live in Atlanta and are excited to be a part of what God is doing in our city. It is such a joy to see students passionate about their Savior. We have some awesome students in STS and look forward to seeing all God will continue to do in and through their lives!

Jenny Sessoms {Student Ministry Assistant}

I grew up as a child of missionaries in Mali, a nation in Western Africa. I’ve always had a love for ministry but God confirmed this passion in me late in high school and all through college. I moved to Atlanta in 2009 after I finished college and God opened the door for me to work here in STS in 2010! It is an honor to be a part of such a God-centered ministry and church here in Atlanta. I love working with our students and families; there is little that is more rewarding than seeing God work in the heart of a teenager.

Favorite Bible Verse: Romans 1:16-17
