SUNDAY MORNING { 8:45-10:15 }

Worship at STS is an energetic and exciting place for students to come together and encounter God in a large-group environment through music, games, skits, relevant talks, and breakout groups.

WEEKLY DISCIPLESHIP GROUPS

Groups meet each week in homes, on school campuses, and at Apostles. Led by adult volunteers, they help students grow through fellowship, Bible study, prayer, and service.

We’ve got tickets! But, we have a limited number, so you have to sign up ASAP! All STS families are invited to join us.

We’re Sold out! Call the STS office if you’d like to be placed on a waiting list in case someone cancels.

High School Fall Retreat 2011

9th – 12th Grade Fall Retreat

September 30 – October 2, 2011

All high school students are welcomed to join the STS staff and adult volunteers for one of our favorite trips of the year. This year we’ll be staying at Horn’s Creek Resort on the Ocoee River in Tennessee.

Are you interested in learning how to have Christ-centered relationships? If so, this weekend will be perfect for you! We will be diving into how to have an intimate relationship with Christ and how that relationship should overflow into our relationships with others. Along with profound teaching we will have worship and a weekend full of activities such as paintball, ropes course and the blob!

Schedule:
All students must come to COTA Friday afternoonat 5:00 pm for sign in.
We’ll return to COTA Sunday afternoon by 3:00 pm for pick-up.

COST = $160.00

**Paintball is optional activity & costs $30.00 extra**

Pack up your tailgate chairs & B.Y.O.F. (BRING YOUR OWN FAMILY)
All COTA families with children (little ones – high school) are the VIP guests at this event. There will be activities for all ages. Dinner will be provided (hamburgers, hot dogs, chips) or you may bring your own tailgate picnic.

Wear your favorite tailgate attire!

NOW this is a celebration you don’t want to miss! (Who needs an excuse like The Super Bowl to get together with friends?)

We’re going to Six Flags!

On Wednesday, June 29th we’re going to SIX FLAGS for the day!

We’ll meet here at COTA at 9:00 am to carpool down to Six Flags.

We’ll be at the park, enjoying the fun rides until 3:00 pm. Then we’ll all gather and carpool back to the Church.

This is open to current 5th -12th grade students.

We’re planning on getting group-rate tickets, so the cost is $25.00 a ticket. In order to get the tickets on time we need to know if you will be joining the group by MONDAY, JUNE 27TH.

Also, so we can plan transportation – please let us know if you are coming even if you have a season pass you will be using.

2011 Guy’s Retreats

STS “Bass & Blast”

All STS (5th-12th grade) guys and dads are welcome to join the staff guys for a few days of outdoor fun.

Come join the STS leaders for a guys retreat at Pinewood Plantation near Albany, GA. We will be fishing on a private lake, trap shooting on a lighted range and enjoying the South Georgia outdoors.  We will look at Biblical manhood while allowing plenty of free time to play and relax.  This is designed to be a father/son retreat.  Students who are not able to bring a father are encouraged to bring another male leader from their life.

Bed space is limited so sign up fast!

Your $75 includes meals and a limited number of shells and clays.

Please bring your fishing poles.  All adults that are interested in bringing a shotgun please inform the STS staff.

2011 Girl’s Spring Retreat

GIRL’S SPRING RETREAT

All 7th-12th grade girls are invited to join the STS staff ladies for a special weekend away! We’re going to Berry College in Rome, GA where we’ll enjoy awesome recreation activities, a tea-room luncheon, nightly worship, and much more! We look forward to seeing how God works to form lasting friendships and unity in Him.

2011 Nicaragua Missions Trip

This summer STS will be taking a team of students to work with Amigos for Christ in Nicaragua.

This trip is open to current 9th-12th grade students and will be taking place June 11 – 18, 2011.

Participants will do home construction, VBS with local children, and help with a feeding program for local schools.

The FINAL deadline to turn in your application and deposit is Tuesday, March 1st. Once applications are turned in, the interview process will begin.

We have a specific, limited number of spots to fill, so it is very important you get your application in AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.

**For service projects, the group will split up into teams and go to different locations, including:

­   Family Heritage Foundation to work with refugee families in Clarkston, GA

­   My Sister’s House, Atlanta Mission to work in their thrift ministry, do activities with children, and building cleanup

­   Men’s Facility of Atlanta Mission to paint & do building cleanup

­   Back to the Streets Ministry to work with those living homeless in Atlanta

­   Resource Service Ministries to minister to widows by cleaning yards and doing house work

You are invited to join the ladies of STS on Saturday, December 4th

for a special Mother-Daughter day.

A tea-lunch will begin at 11:00 am before The Nutcracker matinee at the Fox Theatre.

Cost is $30.00 a person which includes lunch and the show.
