Serving with STS is Good!
All 7th-12th Grade students are invited to join us for our annual Winter Mission Project! This is one of our favorite events all year.
We are partnering with local Atlanta ministries and non-profits for two days of service projects in order to share the love of Christ with our community. Don’t miss this opportunity right in our own backyard!
Friday, January 17 – Sunday, January 19, 2014We’ll be staying Friday and Saturday nights at The Church of The Apostles. A security guard will be on duty all night.
Cost: $75.00(Includes all meals, transportation, a t-shirt, and special Saturday night activity at SkyZone, Kennesaw) *No registrations will be taken after Wednesday, January 15, 2014 **For planning purposes we request that students participate in the entire weekend

Christmas Brunch & The Nutcracker
Saturday, December 7
All STS Girls (5th-12th Grades) and their moms are invited to join the ladies of STS for brunch and hot chocolate followed by going to the “The Nutcracker” at the Fox Theater. This is one of our favorite events all year. We are so excited to spend time celebrating Christmas with you all!
Brunch will begin at 11 a.m. in STS

The STS team wanted to take this opportunity to remind you of how we’re involved in Apostles’ BIG GIVE initiative.
Sunday, November 10th, during STS, we will be packing shoeboxes for Operation Christmas Child. We will provide the shoeboxes if you bring the supplies!
These are suggestions of types of items to bring (remember, these kids are around the age of our STS kids! So, think of what our kids would want or appreciate):
Toys: Small cars, balls, dolls, stuffed animals, kazoos, harmonicas, yo-yos, jump ropes, small Etch A Sketch®, toys that light up or make noise (with extra batteries), Slinky®, etc…
Hygiene: Toothbrush, toothpaste, mild bar soap (in a plastic bag), comb, washcloth, etc…
School supplies: Pens, pencils and sharpener, crayons or markers, stamps and ink pad sets, writing pads or paper, solar calculators, coloring and picture books, etc…
Miscellaneous: Hard candy and lollipops (please double bag all candy), mints, gum, T-shirts, socks, ball caps, sunglasses, hair clips, toy jewelry, watches, flashlights (with extra batteries)
“Please donate $7 or more for each shoebox you prepare to help cover shipping and other project costs. You can give online by using our “Follow Your Box Donation” option, or you can write a check to Samaritan’s Purse (note “OCC” on memo line) and place it in an envelope on top of the gift items inside your box.

STS Students – each grade will be responsible for bringing different types of supplies:
Starting Sunday, October 14th until Sunday, November 11th we will have collection bins in the STS entrance for collecting supplies.

2013 STS 7th-8th Grade Fall Retreat
October 18 – 20, 2013
Red Top Mountain State Park
We’re renting cottages at Red Top Mountain State Park on Lake Allatoona! We’re excited for a great weekend of activities at this beautiful location as well as worship, teaching and fellowship as a group.
This location offers a variety of free or inexpensive activities like: hiking, fishing (fishing license required), biking, mini golf, pickleball, tennis, and much more.
Please bring your friends along; this trip is a wonderful opportunity for students to build community & quality friendships. Guests of our STS students will attend free of charge.Schedule: - Friday, Oct. 18, between 6:00-8:00 pm – Meet at the cottages at Red Top Mt. (snacks will be provided) - Sunday, Oct. 20, 2:30 pm – Parent Pickup at Red Top Mt.

We’re renting houseboats for three days of fun on the lake!Schedule: Monday, 11:00 am – Parents drop off at Paradise Boat Rentals / Port Royale Marina Tuesday – On the lake Wednesday – Lake Lanier Island Resort & Water Park (lunch & dinner included in cost) - Parents pick up at 7:00 pm
Cost: $250.00 (includes all meals, activities on the lake, & a day at Lake Lanier Islands Resort)

STS Guys, BASS N’ BLAST is BACK!
All STS guys & dads, we’re excited to announce our 2013 Bass N’Blast dates: March 6-9, 2013 & April 10-13, 2013!
This trip is open to all 5th-12th grade guys and their fathers. It is a great week of outdoor activities (fishing, shooting, etc…) and learning about Biblical manhood.
We offer this retreat during both Public & Private schools’ Spring Breaks.
This year we’ll be going to Camp Arrowhead.
COST: $95.00. (Cost includes lodging, food, and activities)

All 7th-12th grade girls, the ladies of STS are so excited about this year’s Girl’s Retreat! We’re renting homes in Chattanooga and we’re going to enjoy this fun city as well as a weekend of great quality time together and in God’s Word.
